Dr. Adam Martin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2012, working as a full-time pharmacist in the community practice setting ever since. With a passion is science-based nutrition and physical fitness as a competitive natural bodybuilder, paired with the support as a license owner of The Diet Doc, he shares his best tips and keys to live a practical, healthy lifestyle outlined through SimpleSolutions to nail your nutrition, fit in fitness, and master your mindset- empowering you to be the healthy pharmacist that inspires those you work with and serve in your practice.
He is the founder of The Fit Pharmacist movement, a community of
pharmacists and pharmacy students who seek to live their best lives
in health to lead by example for both their colleagues and
patients. As pharmacists, we’re all on a mission to improve the
health and lives of our patients, and we want to give our absolute
best. If we ourselves are not functioning at our best health, how
can we honestly say we are doing that? However, if we commit to
empowering OURSELVES in our health- that of not just our nutrition,
but also our physical fitness and more importantly mental fitness-
how we deal with the stress of the job, environment, and our
relationships with our patients, colleagues and ourselves- we can
then function at our 100% optimal health. If we ourselves live a
healthy lifestyle, we can not only deliver the best version of
ourselves and our abilities, but we can INSPIRE those we interact
with as healthcare professionals through leading by
example.
